25 Apr TedTalks – Graham Hill: Less Stuff, More Happiness
In this 5 minutes TEDTalk, writer and designer Graham Hill makes a compelling case for why having less stuff, in less room can lead to more happiness. He tells the story of his own journey of taking up less space and lays out three core rules for editing life.
‘We have to edit ruthlessly. We have got to clear the arteries of our lives; and what about that shirt that you hadn’t worn in years? It’s time to let it go. We’ve got to cut out the extraneous things in our lives and we’ve got to learn to stem the ‘in-flow.’ We need to think before we buy. By all means, buy and own some great stuff but we want stuff that we’re going to love for years, not just stuff for the sake of it.‘
